Sophomore Sydney Scott participated in the 2024 Missouri - Kansas Border Bonanza back in April. This was a Class A Arabian Horse show, and she won multiple Blue Ribbons as well as a Second place, third place, and Reserve Grand Champion. Sydney is also in 4 H and shows Arabian and Quarter horses. Great work, Sydney! #cardstudentsareworthit

A BIG thank you to the Farmington School District School Board members and Superintendent for coming to view all the hard work the FFA Chapter has put in this past year. Thirty-three of Ms. Scates's work based learning students earned their National Career Readiness Certification through ACT WorkKeys. The NCRC is an assessment-based credential of widely applicable foundational employability skills. When individual skills are aligned to the skills needed for a job, workers tend to learn job-related tasks more quickly, benefit from on-the-job-training, and obtain new knowledge and skills.

On Saturday, senior high choir members attended the State Solo/Ensemble festival in Little Rock. Elizabeth Barnes received an ‘Excellent’ rating. Noelle Vann, Rowan Sumers, Emily Draper, and DeeDee Lannutti received ‘Superior’ ratings. Congratulations to all!
Mrs. Collyar's Computerized Accounting I class completed a Cost of Goods Sold activity in Computerized Accounting I class recently. Pairs of students had to create a prototype of a toy using legos, determine the cost of goods sold and profit as well as pitch the new toy to the class. WCTL class 8 finished up the year with their leadership class. They traveled to Little Rock and explored the job opportunities that the FBI has to offer; held $400,000, stood on the floor of the House of Representatives and the Arkansas Supreme Court at the Capitol; and lastly they took the somber walk of the Little Rock Nine hearing the troubling facts surrounding those challenging times

Friday was a special day in the beginning of our Senior Season at Farmington High School! Seniors who had Mrs. Berger for 9th grade English received their coveted "Senior Letters" and enjoyed reminiscing on the memories from junior high! #cardstudentsareworthit
We appreciate Bethany Whitson and Samantha Jones with Vitality Medical Center visiting with Mrs. Noggle's Biomedical students about successful alternative therapies such as Piezo, Electric Cell Signaling, Red Light Laser Therapy, and Regenerative Signaling Cells for treating neuropathy and chronic pain in patients suffering from injury, birth defects, or post surgical procedures.



The Farmington Songbirds, the district's newest choir, welcomed Taiwanese vocalist and producer Jia-Ching Lai to their class on Wednesday. He is in northwest Arkansas participating in Voice Jam at the Walton Arts Center this weekend. The choir was able to perform for him and learn about mixing vocal jazz and Taiwanese melodies.
