Farmington High School hosted a Be Pro Be Proud (BPBP) workshop today! BPBP is a national workforce development initiative focused on attracting students and young adults to technical careers. Students were able to learn more about careers, gain experience through simulators, and talk to those in the workforce. #ESED

FHS students must turn in their success plan and course requests to the Counseling Center as soon as possible. Both forms must be signed by a guardian. The success plan is required by the State of Arkansas and schedules cannot be made without course requests, so please get these forms in immediately to avoid any negative repercussions. #ESED

Farmington High School continues ATLAS testing this week on Wednesday, 4/23, and Thursday, 4/24. Juniors and Seniors (and Sophomores not taking the Biology or Geometry tests) will need to be on campus attending classes as usual. #ESED


Xailyn Young qualified for State in the 100m dash last night at the Van Buren Pointer Relays with a time of 12.50, and Dustin Haffelder also pre-qualified in the 100m with a time of 10.90. Congratulations to both of these athletes!

Yesterday during their monthly field trip, Washington County Teen Leadership students from FHS were able to practice self-defense skills at a local business! #ESED

Earlier in the week, 3 FHS EAST students attended a training at the University of Arkansas to learn more better photography techniques when taking pictures using a cell phone. Farmington's chess club brought their A-game to the Rogers Public Schools Chess Tournament this past Saturday, April 12th, at Rogers New Tech High School! Our members tackled a full day of strategy, playing five intense rounds across three divisions (K-4, 5-6, and 7-12). Big shoutout to Harrison Meecham, who masterfully navigated the competition, securing an impressive 5th place overall with a fantastic score of 4.0 (that's 4 wins!). Way to represent, Farmington Chess Club! #ESED

ATLAS testing begins at the high school next week. Sophomores will test 4/15, 4/16, 4/23, and 4/24.
On 4/16, Seniors will have a College/Career Day while Juniors will attend a field trip. Juniors and Seniors must follow their regular class schedule every other testing day.
