The Farmington High School community extends enthusiastic congratulations to the Coding Cardinals for their impressive 4th place finish at the Arkansas All-State Coding Competition! The talented team, comprised of Danny Dang, Finn Speller, and Nathan Glover, journeyed to Jonesboro on the 21st to showcase their programming prowess against 24 other top-tier teams from across the state.
The competition challenged teams to tackle a series of complex programming problems using their preferred coding languages. Demonstrating remarkable skill and dedication, the Coding Cardinals achieved a final score of 108. To put this accomplishment into perspective, the majority of participating teams – those in the bottom two-thirds – scored less than half of Farmington's total, underscoring the exceptional talent and intellect of our students.
While we celebrate this significant achievement, the Coding Cardinals are already setting their sights on the top spot next year. With continued practice and their characteristic determination, the team is poised for even greater success. Congratulations once again to Danny, Finn, and Nathan on their outstanding performance! The entire Farmington community is incredibly proud of you.
